SPIDER VEINS
Spider veins appear in both men and women but are more frequent in women. These dilated blood vessels may be short, unconnected lines or connected in a pattern resembling a spider web or a tree with branches. Spider veins can occur in a small area where they are not very noticeable or they can cover a large area of skin and be very unattractive. Sclerotherapy will reduce or eliminate unsightly veins and improve the appearance of your legs.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Sclerotherapy involves an injection of a salt solution directly into the vein. The solution causes the lining of the blood vessel to swell and stick together and the blood to clot. Over time, the vessel turns into scar tissue that fades from view. The injected area will appear bruised and swollen for a few days. Compression garments are commonly worn after the procedure for several days to maintain pressure and relieve the swelling and pain.
