About the Beach Plum Spa

Since it's inception in 2001, our Spa at the Cape Codder Resort has been an overwhelming success and has experienced tremendous growth. Comments from our well-traveled customers include "Your Spa is the best out there", "Service and quality of product is unparalleled", "The finest Spa on Cape Cod."

With such rave reviews and customer confidence, in 2004, we launched our Spa at the Dan'l Webster Inn which has evolved into a second jewel in our crown. By the time we opened our third Spa at the John Carver Inn, we knew we had cornered the market and wanted to give our Spas their own names.

After more than a year, and many ideas, "Beach Plum Spa" was born. We chose "Beach Plum" because it is native to Cape Cod and the Eastern coast and it is a very important plant to us. Also known as "Rose Hip" this fruit bearing tree thrives in sandy soil and aids in the prevention of natural erosion along our coastline. On our natural beaches, the color of the Beach Plum will vary from white to a deep purple. In September, the flower morphs into a rich purple fruit that historically has been used for jams, jelly, teas and soaps.

After much research, we have come to learn of the additional medicinal and antioxidant properties of this fruit. While being rich in vitamin A, C, E, and flavanoids, it promotes blood circulation, is a great source of essential fatty acids and is also under review for reducing or even halting cancer.

The Beach Plum stands for quality, strength and natural beauty which are what we expect our guests to feel while in our Spa. It seemed the perfect fit.
